リフォームのきっかけ

新築してから30年余り、キッチンの食洗器が壊れ、ガス台も都合が悪くなってきた。新築時に造作で作った背面の収納棚も傷みが出てきており、何かと不都合が重なり、思い切ってキッチンを交換することに。将来は大きなお宅なので子供たちに明け渡し、奥様は別に住まいも考えているので、そこまで費用をかけずに改装を希望。ちょうど、メーカーの展示場での商品の入れ替えがあり、偶然にも収納も備わった展示現品が納まるサイズで、そちらを使ってのリフォームとしたい。

お客様のご要望

展示現品の、キッチンの扉色が個性的な若草色で、昭和レトロな家具や小物が好きなので、そちらとマッチする内装提案を希望。
現在使っているキッチン収納は壁一面に造り付けで沢山入る収納だったので、そのくらいは納まる収納力のある、空間を希望。
ペットの猫がいるので、床材も既存のフローリングが傷んできていたので、これを機会にお手入れのしやすい床に変えて、リビング側の内装も一緒に提案して欲しい。

こだわりポイント

展示現品のキッチンを用いるため、大きさ・シンクの向きなど決まっていたので、既存の柱が抜けずシンク前のオープン部分に残さないとならなかったのですが、あえてレトロなイメージのタイルを装飾に貼りアクセントとさせてもらいました。手元灯も昭和な雰囲気漂うペンダント照明を選びました。また、リビングの床はこちらもレトロ感を出すためにヘリンボーン柄の長尺シート貼りにして、ペットのお手入れしやすい床となりました。奥様のお好きな昭和レトロ感漂う大人なイメージの仕上がりになりました。

展示現品を偶然見つけ、我が家にバッチリと納まり良い品物がお値段もお安く仕上がり大満足です。色が個性的なキッチンでしたが、全体を上手にコーディネートしてもらい、私の大好きな昭和レトロ感溢れる雰囲気となり、ダイニングテーブルやアクセントラグなども新調しました。ペットの猫用に、くぐり戸もつけてもらいました。寒い季節でもドアを閉めておけるので助かります。
