リフォームのきっかけ

主人の実家に住むことになり、築40年の昔ながらの家をペットと一緒に安心して暮らせるようにしたいというのがきっかけです。和室が多く段差だらけの部屋をすべてフラットにし、断熱性の高い冬暖かい家にしたかったのと、築40年を経過し、水廻りの老朽化が目立ってきたので、間取り変更も含めて、快適に過ごせるようにしたかったです。

  • 和室が多く段差だらけの部屋をすべてフラットにして、引戸でスムーズに移動できるようにしたい。
  • 間取りの変更も含めてキッチン、トイレ、洗面台の取替え、独立したキッチン・居間をLDKの1部屋にしたい。
  • 断熱対策として内窓やサッシの取替えや床暖房も検討したい。
  • ペット対応の滑りにくい床材にしたい。
  • 掃除やメンテナンスがしやすい住まいにしたい。

こだわりポイント

キッチンで料理してすぐにキッチンカウンターで食事ができるようにカウンターテーブルを作りつけにし、家電収納を含めてコの字型に配置しました。こうすることで動線が短くなりコンパクトなキッチン動線になります。抜けない柱と壁の部分に格子を吐露つけし、カウンターテーブル下の足元の格子の引戸と共にLDKのフォーカスポイントになるようにデザインしました。カウンターテーブルの足元の格子戸は普段は閉めてワンちゃんがキッチン側にこれないようにでき、来客時には開いて椅子を置けば対面で座ることもできるようになっています。床はすべてペット対応の滑りにくい床材を使い、広いスペースをワンちゃんが走り回っても大丈夫なようにしてあります。脱衣室と洗面室を分け、ウォークインクローゼットを新たに設置することで、身支度はこのスペースで完結できるようにしてあります。LDKと仕事部屋には床暖房を入れ、部屋全体を断熱工事することで、在宅時間の長いスペースは暖かく快適に過ごせるようにしています。

LDKは特に以前の昔ながらの和室のイメージがなくなり、希望していたジャパンディデザインになりとても落ち着いたリラックスできる空間になりました。仕事部屋からはドッグランを見れるので、庭を元気に駆け回っている姿は見ていて幸せな気持ちになります。窓も断熱窓に取替えし、床暖房を設置するなど、暖かく、快適になるようにしたおかげて、寒くなる前の今からでも今までのひやっとする感じはなくなりました。これから本格的な冬になるともっと快適さを発揮してくれると思うので楽しみです。
