リフォームのきっかけ

築年数が古く老朽化してきたので、住みやすい家にするためにリフォームをすることに。

こだわりポイント

2階の使われていない部屋を減築して、耐震性能を上げる。隣家が近いので、リビングには吹き抜けを作り高窓から光を取り入れました。吹き抜けには格子で通路を作り、壁一面を本棚にすることで、図書館のようなすっきりとした、本棚スペースに。断熱もしっかりと施し、吹き抜けのリビングでも暖かく快適に過ごせます。キッチンの勝手口からガレージに出ることができるので、ゴミが出しやすくなるようにしました。2階は収納をたっぷりととり、ウォークインクローゼットには昔から愛用している水屋箪笥もリメイクして、再利用。味わいのある家具は長く使って頂けるように家と共に再生。

エアコン一台だけでも暖かく、吹き抜けがあるとは思えない暖かさになりました。全ての部屋が暗かった1階部分には光が入り、明るく解放敵なリビングになりました。階段も吹き抜けにして、窓が取り付けられ、1階全体が明るくなりました。長年使ってきた桐の箪笥や水屋箪笥も大分痛みがひどかったのですが、リメイクをして新品のようになりました。
